Waiting Room
At Murphy & Co Vets we have a spacious waiting room with separate seating areas for dogs and cats. We also have an alternative side entrance for emergencies or should your dog need to avoid other dogs. Our two consultation rooms have comfortable seating, blankets for dogs and cats and Feliway pheromone therapy (see Cat Friendly Clinic).
Operating Theatre
We have a modern and well-equipped operating theatre with up-to-date patient monitoring equipment (heart rate, oxygen and blood pressure monitors). Here our vets perform a range of procedures from minor operations, such as neutering and wound repairs, to more complex operations such as tumour removals and emergency caesareans. We also host visiting surgeons who specialise in orthopaedic, soft tissue and laparoscopic surgery, reducing the need for referral elsewhere. All patients are closely monitored by our trained veterinary nurses and our recovery wards allow the patients to be as comfortable as possible.
Patient Prep Room
Our patient ‘prep’ room provides a separate area where the patient is prepared for surgery and where treatments are administered. Anaesthetic monitoring equipment is connected and readings are checked prior to surgery or for critical care in-patients. As necessary, patients are placed on intravenous fluids using modern infusion pumps.
Digital Imaging And Laboratory
Our digital diagnostic equipment, including digital x-ray, ultrasound, dental x-ray and our laboratory analysers allow us to achieve instant information vital to formulate the best treatment plan for your pet.
